 Spirit
of the Mountains is a new, very special private mountaintop retreat
featuring gorgeous luxury log cabin rentals
and unique opportunities to relax, play,
grow, and heal in harmony with nature. The cabins and the retreat have been created to honor the
One Spirit within and around each of us.
We encourage our guests to become as
children once again, exploring and enjoying
the wonders and joys of simple pleasures
found in abundance in nature. We are located between the beautiful mountain towns of Brevard and Hendersonville,
just south of Asheville, North Carolina. Our
mountaintop oasis in the Blue Ridge
Mountains allows for easy access, close
proximity to everything, including the
Asheville airport. Spirit of the Mountains
Retreat / Cabins allow amazing opportunities
for one to reconnect with Spirit. It is
healing just to be here!
Spirit of the Mountains Retreat and Cabins
are the long time dream manifested by owner,
Coral Thorsen. Coral is a gifted healing
facilitator and educator, specializing in a
variety of energy healing modalities. She
also is a nutraceutical consultant who
assists others with natural wellness
solutions. As one who has found her way to
abundant health after her own multiple health
challenges considered incurable, Coral’s
mission is to assist others with the
natural healing that is available to all.
Coral is a Reiki Master and teacher,
practitioner of Craniosacral Therapy, Somato
Emotional Release, practitioner and teacher of Esoteric Healing (INEH).
She is a member of the International Network
of Esoteric Healers and National Association
of Esoteric Healers. As a former education
specialist, Coral’s teaching talents will
not be wasted. She teaches energy healing
classes at Spirit of the Mountains Retreat,
so check for the schedule
of events for our future training classes.
If you have the opportunity for a
consultation or would like an interesting
experience with your digital photography,
Coral can also assist you with picture
taking of “Spirit Orbs” during your visit.
 Chuck Pisa, manager of Spirit of the
Mountains, brings his own fame and
contributions to the retreat’s offerings to
guests. Chuck is a nationally and
internationally known astronomer and
telescope expert who has assisted
professionals, schools, universities, as
well as amateurs for decades. You may have
seen him in Sky & Telescope and
Astronomy Magazines as well as on the
Home Shopping Network. Chuck is a well known
regular and favorite at “star parties” and
his guidance in locating the heavens through
the cabin telescopes may be the beginning of
a whole new love affair with the universe
for the novice astronomer. Chuck also brings
decades of expertise in photography,
specializing in macrophotography (close up
shots of flowers, insects, etc.) From the
heavens to the tiniest part of nature, Chuck
brings reverence and honor to his teachings
and consultations. Be sure to check out our
astronomy / photography classes as well as
Spirit of the Mountains “Star Parties.”
Our mountaintop grounds in
themselves at Spirit of the Mountains are
Sacred. Simply walking on the pristine ridge top trail, one can sense a connection beyond the physical. The Spirit within nature welcomes and heals those sharing
these beautiful grounds. In being so honored by nature and Spirit's oneness, we ask that each individual also be aware and reverent in honoring nature, leaving the grounds and trail as they have found them. This beauty has lived for hundreds / thousands of years, and as caretakers of this
Sacred part of the Earth, we
consciously choose to maintain this beauty and presence while sharing the experience with our guests.
Spirit of the Mountains Retreat
opened it’s doors with two beautiful new
luxury log cabin rentals. Plans are in the
making for future cabins and a lodge to be
added. Each existing cabin is 2 ˝ stories,
has levels of decks and porches, and hosts all the
details that will create lasting memories. Nestled within the treetops with glimpses of amazing views between branches, Spirit of the Mountain Cabins are completely furnished and tastefully decorated to make your stay the best of all worlds...combining the comfort and ambience of log cabin charm with the luxury of elegant living! We are very proud of these elegant cabins in their majestic settings, and know you will love them too.
