If
you choose to venture outside of our 24 private acres, you’ll find excellent
hiking throughout the Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville area. Visitors to
our region can enjoy hiking on segments of several of the longer, more renowned
trails like The Appalachian Trail, the Mountains to the Sea Trail, and the Art
Loeb Trail. Here we’ve detailed a bit of information on some of the great NC
hiking trails near our Brevard NC cabins.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the best regions to enjoy NC hiking in our area. Trails
such as the Buck Springs Trail, Frying Pan Mountain Trail, Graveyard Fields Loop
trail, and the famous, Devil’s Courthouse Trail are located in Brevard along the
parkway, and contain some of the most picturesque scenes of the French Broad
river valley. Segments of these trails intersect with the longer, 900 mile,
Mountains to the Sea trail and are all well-maintained. These trails are simply
a must for anyone looking to enjoy hiking while on their NC mountain vacation.
 While enjoying your relaxing NC mountain vacation, hike up to the famous Bridal
Veil Falls, via the Bridal Veil Falls trail. This trail is a very popular trail
in the region, and always a favorite among visitors. Taking you to and under
Bridal Veil Falls, the trail is a great hike for excellent photo opportunities.
Bridal Veil Falls is the gorgeous, large waterfall made famous by the movie The
Last of the Mohicans, and contains some beautiful landscapes near the Little
River.
The Pink Beds Trail is a popular, easy hike near our Brevard NC cabins. The
trail is a 4.5 mile loop that winds through the Pisgah National Forest and
several spots on the trail take hikers over a few well-maintained foot bridges.
Even though experienced hikers may not get much of a challenge from hiking the
Pink Beds Trail, there are several great, cleared spots that create scenic
overlooks to view the abundant wildlife in the Pisgah National Forest.
Looking for a challenge? Experienced hikers enjoy hiking on the Buckwheat Knob –
Bennett Gap trail located just before the Cradle of Forestry Visitors Center.
This eight mile, difficult hike takes you on an adventure through the Pisgah
National Forest and proves challenging in several places for even the most
experienced of hikers.
